What is Longevity Assessment?

Longevity Assessment is a structured, evidence-based process for measuring someone’s biological age — how old their body actually functions, as opposed to their chronological age (the number of birthdays they’ve had). It replaces vague wellness advice with concrete, testable markers across the body’s major systems, then turns those markers into a personalized action plan.
Why Genetics Isn’t Destiny
A landmark 2025 study from Oxford Population Health, published in Nature Medicine, analyzed data from nearly half a million UK Biobank participants to compare the influence of 164 environmental and lifestyle factors against genetic risk scores for 22 major diseases. The results were striking: environmental and lifestyle factors explained 17% of the variation in risk of death, while genetic predisposition explained less than 2%.
Of the 25 independent environmental factors identified, smoking, socioeconomic status, physical activity, and living conditions had the greatest impact on mortality and biological aging — and 23 of these 25 factors are modifiable. Even early-life exposures, including body weight at age 10 and maternal smoking around birth, were shown to influence aging and premature death 30 to 80 years later.
